Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has appointed Vipul Mathur as Executive Director – Personal Care, joining the Management Committee on June 1st, 2024.
Vipul, the current Head of Growth and Transformation at HUL, started as a management trainee in 2003 after obtaining his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management – Calcutta. Throughout his 20-year career, he has experience in Customer Development and Marketing within Home Care, Personal Care, and Nutrition.
Vipul had successful stints in Laundry between 2012-2017 and in 2020-2021, leading Mobile and Rural Marketing for Wheel and launching India’s first mobile-based radio platform, Kan Khajura Teshan. As Category Head, he transformed the portfolio, grew the Liquids business, and delivered profitable growth. In his Global Tea Leadership role from 2017-2020, he drove category innovation and successful communication campaigns. As VP for Modern Trade and eCommerce, he enhanced omnichannel strategy and led portfolio transformation for HUL in emerging channels.
