Mumbai : The new dance reality show launched couple of weeks before on Star Plus has ran in to trouble for more than one reason due to the injury of the shows mentor rock star Yo Yo Honey Singh. Already the reality dance show was witnessing a dropping trend in TRP that was worried the channel authorities as the show has opened with 4.5 TVR in the week 35 has dropped down to 3.1 in the week 37 and failed to bounce back in week 38 also.
However, this weekend will mark as a very important week for Star Plus’s music reality show “India’s Raw Star” as the show will witness eliminations from the ten contestants that Yo Yo Honey Singh picked up over three months, the show had no eliminations so far and in this week five artists will leave the show due to elimination. The show will also witness a change in the format.
In this scenario, Yo Yo Honey Singh will not be on the show for few weeks because of the injuries which he has sustained on his neck and back during a promotional trip. The musical sensation from this week till the time he is ailing will personally nominate a ‘Super Celebrity’ fan and a ‘Musical Mentor’ from the Industry who will come on the show. This week Salim Sulaiman are the musical mentors and Abhishek Bachchan will be seen as the celebrity super fan who also came on the show promoting “Indian Super league”.
Yo Yo who is quite upset with missing the show at this stage said, “India’s Raw Star has been an amazing journey for me so far but unfortunately because of my injury I will not be able to shoot for some time. However, I will be keeping a close watch and do as much as I can to help the Raw Stars. I will personally nominate musical experts and Super Fans like me every week on the show who will take care & support my artists. I would take this opportunity to wish luck to all the Raw Stars as they reach the elimination round. I hope to be back on the show soon”
The channel sources also confirm that the show might witness many more such changes depending up on the performance of the show in the future episodes.
