New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has signed on as the Title Sponsor of the Hockey India League (HIL) for the next three seasons, starting from 2024-25.
This partnership aligns with Hero MotoCorp’s ongoing commitment to promoting sports in India, particularly hockey, which holds a significant place in the country’s sporting heritage. The alliance aims to rejuvenate the sport, enhance its visibility, and create a platform to showcase emerging talent across the nation.
The Hero Hockey India League, set to commence on December 28, 2024, will feature eight men’s teams and, for the first time, four women’s teams. This inclusion of women’s teams marks a historic milestone for Indian hockey, furthering the empowerment of women in sports and promoting gender equality.
