Mumbai: HDFC ERGO General Insurance has confirmed Anuj Tyagi as the incoming Managing Director & CEO, succeeding Ritesh Kumar effective July 1, 2024. All required regulatory approvals are in place, aligning with the stock exchange intimation on January 13, 2024, regarding the Board-approved leadership change.
Tyagi has been with the Company since 2008 and has held various positions during his tenure and was elevated to Joint Managing Director in April 2023.
Kumar will assume the role of Deputy COO in ERGO International’s Board of Management from October 4, 2024, emphasizing growth in Asian markets like China, Thailand, and Singapore, pending administrative approvals and Supervisory Board consent.

With 25+ years in banking and insurance, Mr. Tyagi joined HDFC ERGO in 2008. He heads sales, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Claims, Technology & People functions for the past 16 years.
