Paris: Havas has announced the appointment of two senior executives to accelerate its Converged strategy and advance its data and technology agenda.
Dan Hagen has been promoted to Global Chief Data and Technology Officer, overseeing the development of Havas’ AI-powered Converged operating system. In this role, he will drive strategic data and technology alignment, governance, investments, and operational excellence across all Havas operating units worldwide. Hagen will empower Havas’ 23,000 employees to work smarter and deliver integrated client solutions.
Previously serving as Global Chief Data and Tech Officer for Havas Media Network, Hagen led the development of audience-first data and technology capabilities across more than 100 markets. With 25 years of experience in technical and media roles—including launching the National Lottery’s interactive platform and serving as Chief Strategy Officer at iProspect and Carat UK—Hagen also played a key role in developing Havas Media Network’s Media Experience planning process.
“Data and technology are central to our Converged global strategy, enabling smarter collaboration and greater impact for our clients,” said Yannick Bolloré, CEO and Chairman, Havas. “Dan’s expertise in developing award-winning audience planning platforms and industry-leading data capabilities makes him the perfect leader to shape our data and tech future.”
Hagen is succeeded by Jamie Seltzer, who has been elevated to Global Chief Data and Technology Officer for Havas Media Network. Seltzer will oversee the Converged media product and roadmap, enhance data capabilities, and cultivate a data-driven culture focused on delivering meaningful business outcomes. She will also continue to lead CSA, the global technology, data, and analytics consultancy arm of Havas Media Network.
With over 20 years of experience in data and tech leadership, including roles at WPP and Publicis Groupe, Seltzer was most recently Global Executive Vice President, CSA & Media Experience Analytics.
“Clients expect future-forward agency partners who are data-led and outcome-driven,” said Peter Mears, Global CEO, Havas Media Network. “Jamie has been instrumental in positioning Havas Media Network to meet that demand. We look forward to seeing Dan and Jamie accelerate our Converged strategy and data and technology ambitions.”
Both appointments are effective immediately.
