Mumbai: The GSMA has announced the election of new members to its Board of Directors, which will serve a two-year term from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. José María Álvarez-Pallete López has been re-elected as Chair, with Gopal Vittal serving as Deputy Chair. As Chair, Álvarez-Pallete López will guide the strategic direction of the GSMA, representing the interests of the world’s mobile operators and the broader mobile ecosystem.

I look forward to another term of working together with our talented team to achieve our goals and continue to make a lasting impact,” said José María Álvarez-Pallete López. “Together, we will stay at the forefront of trends and make a positive impact in our industry.”

The GSMA Board for the 2025-2026 term consists of 26 members, including senior representatives from global mobile operators as well as smaller independent operators. Key members include:
