Global pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline has appointed Colin D’Silva as Asia-Pacific head of communications and government affairs.In his new role, D’Silva will join the company’s regional consumer healthcare team.
As well as leading the GSK’s communications division in Asia, D’Silva will also be tasked with managing the company’s government affairs program alongside its Pharmaceuticals and Vaccines businesses.
An industry veteran of 15 years, D’Silva has previously held leadership positions in communications, scientific and corporate affairs at Procter & Gamble and Skin Inc in Singapore.
Speaking about the new role, he said: “I’m really excited about beginning an inspiring journey in the world of healthcare.As a member of the GSK leadership team, my role is to help achieve key business goals, and enhance the reputation of GlaxoSmithKline across Asia Pacific, a region composed of 23 markets.”
