GS Caltex India, a lubricant manufacturer, launched the 2nd edition of #GaadiKeDoctor, a digital campaign to celebrate the unsung heroes- “Mechanics” on its 13th Anniversary. The brand celebrates 02nd February as ‘National Mechanic’s Day’ and has come back with their 2nd edition of #GaadiKeDoctor.
The campaign opens with a scene of a mechanic, Ganesh, having his family photos taken while wearing his new mechanic’s outfit. When his daughter sees her schoolteacher and her husband (a doctor) driving into the garage, she hides. The teacher and doctor refer to mechanics as “GaadiKeDoctors” and thank Ganesh for his work in keeping their car running smoothly. The teacher emphasizes the importance of mechanics in society and how they play a crucial role in the functioning of transportation. The daughter then rushes in to give her father a hug and praise his efforts.
The campaign showcases how mechanics play a vital role in enhancing the driving experience and ensuring smooth vehicle operation, and how they contribute to the auto sector in India.

The previous edition last year was a huge success and this year we are making it much bigger and grander than before with activations on-ground , social media and radio platforms to spread awareness about Mechanics. For us, Mechanic’s Day is more than a celebration or a campaign. It’s the recognition that mechanics deserve, and GS Caltex is proud to be the pioneer of this movement.”
