GroupM is undergoing a transformation in its APAC leadership structure, with a shift towards a model where four sub-regional markets will report directly to global leadership, thereby dissolving APAC-level management.
As a result, the current role of APAC CEO Ashutosh Srivastava will be phased out, and he will be exploring new opportunities within WPP. However, Srivastava will continue to support GroupM until the end of April, facilitating a smooth transition to the new approach.
Starting from May, GroupM will be led by its market cluster leaders in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Patrick Xu will oversee Greater China and North Asia, which includes Korea and Japan. Prasanth Kumar will be in charge of South Asia, while Himanshu Shekhar will lead Southeast Asia. Lastly, Aimee Buchanan will head the Australia and New Zealand market.
