Konstantin Popovic joins Grey Group Singapore as Executive Vice President, Global Business Director for GSK. He will report to Alina Kessel, Executive Vice President, Managing Director Global Client Service, and Nirvik Singh, Chairman & CEO of Grey Group Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Konstantin will be overseeing Grey’s GSK consumer healthcare portfolio across APAC. He will also look after Panadol, globally.
Popovic started his career at BBDO in Germany after which he moved to their Chicago office and then to New York. During his stint with BBDO, Konstantin led brands as diverse as Wrigley, Johnson & Johnson and Best Buy.
Prior to Grey, Popovic was in Publicis New York, where he was the Brand Agency leader for P&G’s Digestive Wellness and PGT (Procter & Gamble Company and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.) Healthcare brands. In that role, he led a cross functional team of seven agencies across all marketing disciplines to develop integrated ideas.
Other than his passion for global business, Popovic has always been a digital innovator – from launching a user-generated content (UGC) based campaign three years before YouTube existed to being the global capability lead on Publicis’ real-time marketing engine.
“We are excited to have Konstantin join our GSK leadership team. He is an accomplished professional with deep knowledge and experience who brings unique insights from his diverse international and industry experience. Konstantin has the mind of a brand strategist with powerful creative thinking and a reputation of being a strong and effective leader. He will be an asset to our team,” said Nirvik Singh, Chairman & CEO of Grey Group Asia Pacific.
“I look forward to working with Konstantin to deliver outstanding results for GSK. His appointment underscores Grey’s commitment to continuously raise the bar for our client in this region,” said Alina Kessel, Executive Vice President, Managing Director Global Client Service.
Popovic said, “I didn’t hesitate to join Grey given the momentum of the agency and the growth opportunities available in the APAC region. They are second to none in the global healthcare category and I am thrilled to be working alongside some of the brightest talents in the industry. With Grey, I am looking forward to making an even greater impact on GSK’s business.”
Born in Serbia, raised in Berlin, educated in French schools, and a New Yorker at heart – Konstantin is truly a global citizen.
