Mumbai : TBWA has changed its senior management team in India, installing a new chief executive.
Vineet Bajpai, who was appointed a little over a year and a half ago as CEO, is moving back to the company he moved from, TBWA\India’s digital arm Magnon Group, as chairman. He was previously CEO. He will also spend time working for a different business outside the TBWA group, m-commerce firm Talentrack.
Taking his place is Govind Pandey, who joins the Omnicom agency after 13 years at McCann, latterly as chief operating officer, a role he has been in for the last seven months.
Pandey, who is no relation to Ogilvy India boss Piyush, will run TBWA\India Group.
He has worked previously at the agencies he describes on his LinkedIn page as “most reputed institutions in India,” J. Walter Thompson, Lowe and Ogilvy, as well as McCann.
He will run TBWA’s offices in Mumbai and Delhi, and begins in the job from the beginning of next year.
Brett commented: “India is a strategically vital market for us. I am confident that Govind will help accelerate our growth and bring fresh energy and insights for us in this market. I also congratulate Vineet on his new role and look forward to his continued leadership and support in extending the Magnon Group offering both within and beyond India.”
