New Delhi : Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has granted 11 new multi-system operator licences which are valid for 10 years to operate digital addressable cable systems (DAS) while the pan-India licence appilcation from Reliance Jio Media is kep on hold.
The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has refused to process the application from Daman-based Dhrulucky Enterprise as it was unsuccessful to get security clearance by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As of now, the ministry has issued a total of 153 permanent licences.
The following are list of MSOs who have received the DAS licences:
- Atria Convergence Technology’s MSO, Kaizen Digital Cable Services, has received registration for Phases II, III and IV in Karnataka except Mysore.
- Mohit Sai Cable Network has received for Vishakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh in DAS Phases III and IV.
- New Delhi-based DDC CATV Network has got pan-India registration.
- Tirupati-based Chelikam Networks India has received for Chittur, Kadapa, Ananthpur, and Nellore districts of Andhra Pradesh.
- Madhya Pradesh-based SS Cable Network has received licence for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Jharkhand regions under Phase I, II, III, and IV.
- Odisha-based Utkal Cable Vision has received registration for DAS Phase III and IV areas across India.
- Rajkot-based Suraj Cable Network has received registration for Phase II, III and IV areas in Gujarat.
- Porbandar-based Vishwam Cable Network has received registration for Phase II, III and IV areas in Gujarat.
- Palakkad-based Satlinks has received registration for entire Kerala.
- Jamnagar-based Netset Media Services has received registration for Gujarat.
- Cossco Communication has received registration for areas falling under Phases I, II, III, and IV in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
