Hyderabad: Texas based Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) has honoured swasthiktv.com as the best devotional Web TV in appreciation of its services towards protection of the Hindu religion and Culture in the event of 1st Save temple International short film and Documentary festival on preservation of old temples in India as part of the Save Temples Organisation’s initiative to protect, preserve and promote the great temples located all over the world.
The Save Temple International Short Film and Documentary Festival was conducted at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad from 22nd to 24th August. 40 short films and documentaries which were shortlisted from total entries of 113 by a special jury, were screened in this film festival. The theme of the films were on protection of Hindu temples, the ancient Hindu religion, Vedas and its glory, Protection of cows, Mass feeding (Annadanam), Propagation of Hindu Bhakti, The epics Puranas and other holy scriptures of Hindu religion, The protection of temple lands, ornaments and other assets. GHHF is planning to have these 40 films made available to show at different location in India and abroad.
During the last day of the film festival GHHF has honoured various organisations involved in service to Hindu Religion by bestowing them with “Sanathana Dharma Puraskaar”. swasthiktv.com was awarded as the “Best Devotional Web TV” in Global recognition of its quality and service. The high profile event was graced by the famous Hindu priest “His Holiness Sri Thridandi China Jeeyar Swamy ” along with him other dignitaries like Dy Chief Minister of AP, Hon’ble Assembly Speaker of AP, Sitting Hyderabad High Court Judges, MPs and MLAs were also present.

The Jury had shortlisted 3 Best films out of the short listed 40 films and documentaries, The Short film titled “A AA Lu” produced by London based JR Films emerged as winner and bagged the “Swarna Gowmatha Award” with a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/- The second Best short film “Devaalayam” produced by hyderabad based GVS Srinivas was honoured with “Rajatha Gowmatha Award” and cash prize of Rs.75,000/- and the third best was a documentary titled “Aatma” produced by Kottapali Seetaram was conferred with “Kamsya Gowmatha Award” and cash price of Rs.50,000/-
