Mumbai: Publicis Sapient has appointed Ganga Ganapathi Poovaiah as its new India Marketing Leader. With a wealth of experience in the marketing industry, Ganga will lead the company’s marketing initiatives in India, driving its efforts to further strengthen its brand presence in the region.
Ganga joins Publicis Sapient from Epsilon, where she served as Vice President, Head of International Marketing. Reflecting on her career journey, she shared her excitement about this new role on her LinkedIn profile: “I’m in new company 🙂 The Ganga who joined Epsilon in 2017 is very different from the one who left in 2024. I have immense gratitude for the friendships, the emotional connections, and the self-awareness I’ve gained through these years. I’m thrilled to now lead Marketing in and for India at Publicis Sapient.”
Before her time at Epsilon, Ganga worked at Orchard Advertising as Senior VP & Branch Head from 2016 to 2017, and at Ogilvy as Vice President from 2013 to 2016. She has also held leadership roles at Vyas Giannetti Creative and Hewlett-Packard Global Analytics, bringing rich strategic expertise to her new role.
Ganga’s career spans across renowned organizations, including Ogilvy, Mudra Communications, and Hewlett-Packard Global Analytics, where she built a solid foundation in marketing and business strategy. Ganga is an alumnus of MICA – The School of Ideas, where she completed her PG Diploma in Communications, Advertising.
In her new role at Publicis Sapient, Ganga will play a key part in shaping the company’s marketing strategy for India, ensuring its continued success as a leading digital transformation partner.
