Mumbai : For the past few years, women and men have been coming together in support of equal rights for all. March 8, is a day that is dedicated to commemorate the selfless contribution, need of equal opportunities and sheer spirit of womanhood. Participating in this celebration ‘TS’ the all new beauty and grooming accessories brand by Future Consumer Limited joins forces with the Salaam Bombay Foundation with the objective of empowering women. Through the DreamLab initiative by Salaam Bombay Foundation, TS offers young girls an opportunity to shape their career. Girls in the age group of 14 to 18 years will have the chance to intern for ‘TS’ at Future Group’s Big Bazaar stores in the country.
Under the DreamLab initiative girls in the age group of 14 to 18 years are given the opportunity to support their formal education with vocational courses of their choice. Through this program women were given the chance to gain training and develop skills to run or work in beauty salons. Based on their performance the girls were selected to promote TS Nail Paints and TS Kosmique Kajal at Big Bazaar stores in the country.
Speaking about this initiative Keshav Biyani, Head – Home and Personal Care, Future Consumer Ltd. says, “We live in an age where women no longer only rule the house but also contribute equally in the corporate world too. There certainly needs to be a balance in the number of opportunities made available for both men and women. Our association with Salaam Bombay Foundation, is a small effort in providing young talent a platform that can fuel their career growth.”
DreamLab is a programme for the youth which provides an opportunity to learn, earn, and grow, whilst completing their formal education.
