Fourth Dimension, one of the biggest and fastest growing Media Outsource specialists in the country, is part of the Chennai based SRM Group. With a strong team spread across markets, Fourth Dimension Media Solutions has completed Six years of successful operations and is stepping in to seventh year with some vigorous goals.
Started off with the job of selling Puthiya Thalaimurai, the Company marched ahead with a steady growth and today they own properties from different formats of media such as Television, radio and magazine, Outdoor, Cable, Digital etc.
The Company currently handles the sales of Puthiya Thalaimurai (No.1 Tamil News channel), V6 (Leading Telugu News Channel), Puthu Yugam (Tamil GEC), Da Vinci Learning (International kids edutainment channel), Sathiyam TV (Tamil News Channel), aggregation of National Cable TV, Chennai Live (English radio Station), Saamana (Marati Dailies) , Digital etc.,.
They have also successfully handled various events like “Tamilan Awards”, “Veetukku Oru Vignyani”, “Agrifest”, and “Shakthi Awards”. Some of the other successful events handled by them include “A tribute to Scorpions and Rolling Stones”, “Love Beats”, “A cooking show with Sanjeev Kapoor” in multiple cities, “Nadigavelin Rajapaattai” (short play contest conducted in various districts all over Tamil Nadu), “Einstein” (theatre play which was casted by the famous bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah reflecting the life of Albert Einstein), “Yuvan Music Express” (Nonstop 5 Hours live-in concert with the most happening names from Kollywood and Bollywood for the first time in Tirunelveli town)

Speaking exclusively to tvnews4u.com on the occasion, Mr. Shankar, CEO – Fourth Dimension Media solutions expressed his excitement on his travel so-far and exchanged his thoughts and plans for the company as following:
Tvnews4u: Where do you stand at the Sixth anniversary of your company..?
Shankar: Personally, I am very excited and thrilled to be part of Fourth Dimension. When I started it in a very very small way, it was a 4 member team and today we are a 30 member team. Today, truly and Quickly, We have established ourselves as somebody who has taken Media Outsourcing business to the next level.
Professionally, the learning has been intense and out of my career spanning around 22 years in various areas of Media, this opportunity extended by SRM Group has allowed me to try everything from Print, Television, Radio, Digital, Experiential marketing, Theatre and Cable aggregation.
Today in India, there are very few successful Media Outsourcing Companies and we are running with hands full in all forms of Media. The Ride during the past six years was very fascinating with lots of roller coaster effect, but that never deter us from pitching new business and trying new things.
When we started six years before, We just had Chennai Live with us, whereas, today we have Puthiyathalaimurai, Puthuyugam, V6 News, Sathiyam TV, DaVinci, Samna and vast network of partnership with Theatres and Cable Networks.
Tvnews4u: Where do you like to take it forward from here-on..?
Shankar: Today, we have been regarded as the Super Stars of South Regional Market. We have been evangelizing the South Market in the national arena where the advertising pie for the South Regional Market stands around 32% to 35%.
With Such a huge potential this market still has plenty of areas that can be explored. Going forward we want to serve our clients beyond spending in TV, Print and other Mediums and act as a custodians of their brands and help them in identifying and exploring a comprehensive 360 degree solutions. Going forward from 2017 – 2020, Fourth Dimension would like to act a consultant and ideate the clients and guide them how to sell their products in markets like South, rather than just asking them to spend in our TV or other Mediums that are being sold by us.
We are also in discussion on partnering with an International Sports Management Company for a Large Format Sports event and we hope that this will help us grow even much bigger.
Tvnews4u: Was there any impact due to Demonetization and what is the scenario in aftermath of DeMo…?
Shankar: Yes, there was Impact due to demonetization. But, If you look at the AdEx – We were the least affected. In News genre our brands like Puthiyathalaimurai were the least affected and in-fact me and my team went all the way and managed to ensure that the impact is very lesser.
If you analyze the impact suffered by brands like Aaj Tak and Times NOW, Our brands managed to top the charts during those times.
Moreover, despite so-much thirst for revenue, we stood to respect the sentiments of people by foregoing our revenues in events like #Save Jallikattu protests as our channels chose to go Mid-Break free with non-stop Live Coverage, at times of very high viewership, when others chosen to charge their clients with premium rates.
Our strategy to earn their Loyalty has paid us rich dividends in the form of sustained and long lasting viewership that helped us to realize our revenues in longer run, which in-turn helped us to overcome the situations like Demonetization.
