Fountainhead MKTG, the experiential marketing agency of Dentsu Aegis Network, recently concluded the Reliance Foundation Jr NBA Program across 34 cities and 7900 schools. The 6 month long program reached out to more than 6,00,000 students expanding the sporting education in the country while building the sporting property in its sixth year.
International NBA coaches from Spain & USA were brought to India for mentoring and a first-of-its-kind PE Teachers Community was created to keep the program alive digitally, track progress and foster sustenance of the sport.
Commenting on the mammoth sports activation carried throughout the country, Pratiksha Vaidya, Senior Vice-President, BD&CS, Events & Activation, Fountainhead MKTG said, “Reliance Foundation Jr NBA is a unique program that raises awareness and teaches the sport in a sustainable format. We reached out to schools as part of the development program giving us access to students, staff and facilities. The Reliance Foundation Jr. NBA National Finals brought together twelve boys and twelve girls teams composed of the top 10 players from each Reliance Foundation Jr. NBA city Tournament pan India.

Two youth teams, north region (boys) and west region (girls) won the finale. The top performing players will now represent India in the upcoming Junior NBA World Championship in Orlando.
