New Delhi: HT Media and RBNL are among the companies to emerge as highest bidders in the e-auctions for the first batch of channels under the private FM radio phase III expansion.
As per the FM phase III auction results declared by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry on its website, the lone channel on offer in Delhi was bagged by HT Media Limited with a successful bid amount of over Rs 169.16 crore as non- refundable one time entry fee (NOTEF).
The frequency spot selected for this channel was 107.2 MHz.
HT Media also bagged one of the two channels on offer in Mumbai at over Rs 122.81 crore with the third one going to Digital Radio (Mumbai) Broadcasting Limited, which also bid the same amount.
Entertainment Network India Limited bagged the channel on offer in Bengaluru at a bid price of over Rs 109 crore. For the two radio channels in Pune, Reliance Broadcast Network Limited and Entertainment Network India Limited emerged winners, both bidding a sum of over Rs 42 crore.
Three channels in Hyderabad received bids of Rs 18 crore each. Two of these bids were made by Entertainment Network of India Limited while the third bid was made by HT Media Limited.
Entertainment Network India Limited emerged the highest bidder for a channel in Jaipur with an amount of over Rs 28.34 crore as NOTEF.
HT Media, Entertainment Network and Music Broadcast Private Limited emerged the three winners in Kanpur with all of them bidding over Rs 8 crore.
Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, HT Media and Entertainment Network India were the winners for three channels in Lucknow bidding over Rs 14 crore each.
Reliance Broadcast Network Limited and Music Broadcast Private Limited were the winners for channels in Patna with both bidding over Rs 17 crore each.
