The channel leads the pack in the Kannada GEC category clocking an average of 415697 impressions ‘000s
Bangalore : As per the recently released BARC weekly data (Urban + Rural) for the first week of the year 2019, Zee Kannada has claimed the top position in the Kannada market with a total of 415697 impressions ‘000s; 171167 impressions ‘000s in the urban market, 244530 in the rural market, with robust growth across its prime-time fiction shows. Continuing to hold the leadership position in the Urban market for the last 12 weeks, Zee Kannada has now earned the distinction of being the leader for the first time in the last 13 years.
Taking to the challenge of reaching the market leader position, Zee Kannada has secured 260314 impressions ‘000s in its prime-time band, with its top shows including Yaare Nee Mohini, Paaru, and Brahmangantu. The channel has also secured leadership position across its prime-time slots in the Non-Fiction shows such a SRGMP15 & Drama Juniors 3.
Colors Kannada has been continuously dominating the Kannada GEC market ever since the introduction of BARC ratings. Prior to that it managed to overpower Udaya TV from the top position during TAM data regime.

During the BARC week 52 – 2018 Zee Kannada ranked the No.2 position while Colors Kannada was leading the Kannada GEC market with 419903 mn imps.
Zee was constantly progressing towards the numero uno position for the past two years as it initially became the leader of the Urban Karnataka market and ultimately emerged as the topper in entire Karnataka.
Following this runner up Colors Kannada is Udaya TV with 236910 mn imps while Udaya movies has garnered 168349 mn imps to stand at the 4th slot, Star Suvarna ranked 5th in the list with 136671 mn imps in week 1.
