Mumbai: Times Network has denied the buzzing news on the exit of Mirror Now’s executive editor, Faye D’Souza. Instead the statement issued by Times Network revealed that she will be moving out of the editorial operations of the channel and focusing on creating flagship shows and IPs.
On the other hand, Vinay Tewari has been assigned the task to replace Faye D’Souza, as the new Managing Editor of Mirror Now. Denying the exit of D’Souza from the network, the statement said, “Regarding ongoing speculation surrounding Faye D’Souza’s disengagement with Mirror Now, this is to clarify that Faye continues to be associated with Times Network and Mirror Now”.
Briefing on her future assignments, Times Network added, “Having played a pivotal role in establishing a strong position for Mirror Now, Faye moves away from managing daily operations of the brand and will now be responsible for creating and presenting flagship shows on Mirror Now in addition to steering new shows, IPs and ground events for the Network.”
The news on Faye D’Souza exit has created ripples across the Media and Public forum. It also triggered speculation on social media that Faye D’Souza is being for her open and daring rants against corruption in Govt agencies, poor performance of civic bodies, tirade against communal violence and her fight for press freedom. However, Times Network attempted to silence everyone with this statement without explaining the reason for shunting her from editorial desk to ideation and events job.
