MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Discovery announced today that their premium sports channel, Eurosport India, has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast Sunday Night Soccer from the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, bringing some of the league’s biggest fixtures and global football stars to Indian fans every Sunday night.
Sunday Night Soccer is Major League Soccer’s new prime-time initiative for the 2025 season, showcasing the most high-stakes and headline-worthy match of the week. It also aims to become MLS’s marquee viewing event, drawing fans together across time zones.
Sunday Night Soccer will feature high profile clashes, including El Tráfico (LA Galaxy vs. LAFC), the Hudson River Derby (New York Red Bulls vs. New York City FC), and the Cascadia Cup (Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers vs. Vancouver Whitecaps).
The 2025 season follows a 2024 campaign where Los Angeles Galaxy clinched their record-extending sixth MLS Cup title, defeating the New York Red Bulls 2-1 in the final. Meanwhile, Inter Miami CF, co-owned by former football player David Beckham, secured their first-ever MLS Supporters’ Shield, finishing the regular season with the best overall record.
With players like Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba (Inter Miami CF), Lorenzo Insigne (Toronto FC), and Cucho Hernández (Columbus Crew), MLS has become a major force in global football while also serving as a development hub for young talents from South America, Europe, and the US.
