With plans to expand in the southern markets, apart from our marquee releases, we want to back projects with fresh concepts and scripts that help recognize promising talent in the industry. By supporting such cinema, we want to encourage emerging talent to align with our vision of presenting quality cinema.”
Eros International is hoping to find strong script based movies that will be produced in nominal budgets, which in turn are expected to yield better margins. The success of these two movies will open gate for many new aspiring talents in South to mark their debut under strong media brand.
UTV also had initiated such low budget co-production deals like ‘Muran’, ‘Poi Solla Porom’ etc… However, they switched their strategy of acquiring movies through high budget distribution deals that are considered to be highly risky now a days.
