Bangalore: The Ad Club Bangalore’s Inspiration Room reached a new milestone with its 8th edition, featuring Dr. Paul Harwood, an international behavioural scientist and co-founder of Useristics. Held at Adda 1522 in Cambridge Layout, the event provided a dynamic exploration into the intersection of behavioural science, technology, and advertising, offering valuable insights for the marketing and creative communities.
With over 20 years of experience working with global leaders like Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Slack, Dr. Harwood’s expertise in user behaviour and market research took center stage. Joining him in a stimulating conversation was Smitha Hemingae, Head of Marketing and Employee Brand at ANSR, who helped facilitate the dialogue.
The session delved into how brands can leverage behavioral science to craft impactful advertising campaigns and personalized experiences for digital-first customers. Dr. Harwood emphasized the importance of understanding audience behavior and shared how startups, in particular, can benefit from robust user insights. The conversation also touched on the transformative role of AI in modern marketing. “Technology is evolving fast, often faster than how it can be studied and its impact understood. In this scenario, it is important to understand and define how AI will be used. The way forward is better understanding of AI and reservations that come with it,” Dr. Harwood noted.
The discussion also highlighted the role of Bangalore as a tech-driven hub for innovation, emphasizing the city’s growing importance in shaping future advertising strategies.
