Gurugram: Morepen Laboratories has launched its short Diabetes Awareness Campaign starting September 23rd on Sony TV’s iconic quiz show, “Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC),” hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The campaign features former Indian cricket coach Rahul Dravid as our esteemed Brand Ambassador, promoting health and wellness during the festive season.
As India faces the challenge of being the Diabetes Capital of the World, with over 50% of diabetes cases undetected, this initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of monitoring blood sugar levels before enjoying sweets. With the festive season approaching, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly while prioritizing their health.
Dr. Morepen’s glucometer is a leading brand in India, boasting 100% in-house production and backward integration. Since entering the medical devices sector in 2001, Morepen has become one of the largest producers of glucometers and BP monitors, with an installed base of over 12 million meters and over 1.5 billion glucometer strips sold to date. In addition to glucometers, Dr. Morepen’s Home Health line offers blood pressure monitors, stethoscopes, weighing scales, pregnancy kits, nebulizers, and thermometers.
Morepen is committed to expanding its medical device capabilities, aiming to double glucometer production from 2.5 million to 5 million units annually and increase strip production from 500 million to 700 million strips per year. Medical devices account for over 30% of total revenues and are growing rapidly.
This campaign underscores our dedication to health management and emphasizes the importance of early detection and awareness of diabetes as we approach a festive season of celebration. Dr. Morepen is also collaborating with KBC through desktop branding to enhance the reach of our health initiatives.
