Bangalore: Kannada GEC Zee Kannada has delivered historic and record-breaking numbers with the Television Premier of Puneet Rajkumar starrer blockbuster movie Dodmane Huduga.
DoddmaneHuduga aired on Sunday, 28th May 2017 at 7:30 PM has delivered 12162 TVTs in Total Karnataka Market, which is the highest ever Television premier ratings of a Kannada movie in the history of Kannada Television Industry. The Movie has scored 4490 TVTs in Urban Market and it translates to a record 20.7 TVR.
Speaking exclusively to tvnews4u.com on the historic achievement – Raghavendra Hunsur, Business Head, Zee Kannada said, “ A never before feat, in the Kannada Market, Dodmane Huduga garnered 20 TVR on Zee Kannada. More than 24 Million viewers tuned into the WTP of Dodmane Huduga. No content, be it an event, award show or show has managed to achieve such numbers. It is a rare phenomenon in a few south markets and a never before in the Karnataka Market. This shows the strength of the medium, and it’s delivery capability. It’s a combined strength of strategic content selection, aggressive marketing & promotions. Apparently, Dodmane Huduga has surpassed the record of Kannada movie Master Piece (starring Yash) with almost 100% higher viewership ratings. Master Piece aired on Udaya TV has delivered 6514 TVTs in Total Market and 2620 TVTs in Urban market that translates to 13.8 TVR.
Darshan starrer Mr. Airvata is the third highly viewed premier movie in Karnataka market with 5965 TVTs (2158 TVTs in Urban that amounts to 12.7 TVR) and Mr & Mrs. Ramachari stood at fourth highest viewed premier movie with 1764 TVTs each in both the markets that equals to 11.5 TVR.
Zee Kannada is upbeat with more block buster movies in its kitty such as Sudeep starrer Hebbuli and block buster movie “Mummy Save Me” etc… The Channel is constantly ramping up its rural viewership with an eye on the top spot of the Kannada GEC market.
