DNEG, a visual effects (VFX) and animation studio for the creation of feature film, television and multiplatform content, announced the first chapter of DNEG Connect, an exclusive and unique in-person technology event in partnership with the Bengaluru SIGGRAPH Chapter and Asifa India. The event is scheduled to take place at the Good Shepherd Auditorium in Bengaluru on March 25, 2023, at 15:30 IST.
DNEG Connect will showcase the company’s latest technologies and innovations, featuring a lineup of the company’s leaders and technologists. Notable presenters include Merzin Tavaria -DNEG President, Global Production & Operations, Paul Franklin – DNEG VFX Supervisor and multiple Academy Award-winner, Paul Salvini, Global Chief Technology Officer of DNEG, Muralidhar Sridhar – Senior Vice President of Prime Focus Technologies, and Martine Bertrand – Senior Researcher – AI at DNEG. On behalf of the Bengaluru SIGGRAPH Chapter, Vivek Reddy, Co-Founder of Viga Entertainment, will discuss important industry topics and themes, such as the accessibility of technology tools for independent filmmakers and studios. The event will also feature discussions on why industry experts agree that ‘revolutionary’ is the best description of the changes in the industry.
