As India Pakistan in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 match on Saturday comfortably on Saturday, October, broadcaster Star Sports announced that Disney+ Hotstar had crossed 3.5 cr viewers during the match.
This concurrency number is a new record, bypassing the streaming platform’s reported 2.8 cr viewers it registered during the India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 super four round match in September this year.
For Disney Star, this jump in concurrency numbers is significant in the larger scheme of things, with reports of the company mulling a stake sale or partnership of some form quoting unnamed sources doing the rounds.
