Digitales Media launches Mrigashira, a unique podcast on media and communications industry

Mumbai: Digitales Media, one of the leading digital marketing companies in India, has launched Mrigashira – a unique podcast focussing on the developments in the PR, communication and media industry. The weekly podcast focuses on industry trends, crrent affairs, talks with experts and newsmakers. The capsule promises to be power-packed and useful with useful perspectives from industry captains. The agency has collaborated with Radha Radhakrishnan, an industry veteran for content and anchoring.

The podcast is currently available on two major hosting platforms – Buzzsprout and Podbean. It will be further expanded to include several other platforms in the coming weeks.

Podcasts are catching up and are increasingly becoming more popular. Globally 155 million people listen to a podcast every week. In India, over 40 million out of the total 500 million internet users listen to podcasts, and it is growing at around 60% annually. Digitales feels the time is appropriate for a focused PR and Communication podcast that helps practitioners, students and those who would like to explore a career in communications.

Mrigashira aims at simplifying content consumption with interesting story-telling formats. Elaborating more on the announcement, Abhishek Sinha, Director, Digitales said “PR and Communication fraternity is a niche and focused community. They are digitally savvy, and many of them are listening to podcasts on topics of their interest. We believe Mirgashira can add value to their profession. We are all set for a national and international roll out by hosting Mrigashira on leading podcast platforms like buzzsprout and podbean. It will be available on many more platforms as we fine tune listener experience and technology”.

Radha Radhakrishnan has over 25 years of experience in communications, PR, Journalism and advertising. She has a wide array of experience across ad agencies, media entities, starts up, corporates and PR world. Sharing her perspective on the initiative, she said “The name Mrigashira denotes perseverance, courage, and strength. It stands for action-orientation and quest for knowledge. PR and Communication industry represents all this. There is intense action and demands tremendous courage to hang in there. Mrigashira podcast is a tribute to our fantastic fellow professionals, colleagues and friends. We hope the podcast stands out for its content and information”.
