Mumbai: Abhinay Bhasin, Senior Manager- Data Sciences, Dentsu Aegis Network India, has been shortlisted in the ‘New Talent Award’ category by DataIQ2018. A new generation of analysts, data managers, modelers and statisticians is vital to keep the data industry up and running. Therefore, in an attempt to encourage those who have chosen to join this rapidly expanding profession, this category recognizes the uniquely-talented individual under the age of 30 whose arrival has transformed or significantly benefitted the organization.
For the record, DataIQ is the fastest growing, cross-industry community of data and analytics leaders and professionals from FTSE 100 (Financial Times Stock Exchange 100 Index) and large/mid-market organisations. It is pertinent to note here that DataIQ Awards primarily recognises individuals who have provided leadership both to the data and analytics team they head up and also within their organisation (client-side or vendor) by giving the practice visibility, status, credibility and sustainability.
Says Abhinay Bhasin, “Using real time data to better understand the needs, wants and behaviour of the consumer has always remained at the core of what I have done in the industry. I would like to thank my mentors, the esteemed jury of the DataIQ New Talent Awards and the leadership of Dentsu Aegis Network India for recognising my contributions in this field.”
Gautam Mehra, Chief Data Officer, Dentsu Aegis Network, South Asia, adds, “An integral member of my team, Abhinay is a bright and passionate individual who has played an active role in championing the data story for the group in India through the service offerings of the Data Sciences Team. He has played a key role in consumer-insights projects, which has been very well received by clients such as Abbott and AMFI, to name a few. He has also added value and played a key role in crafting the data narrative in some of Dentsu Aegis Networks India’s recent business wins like MSIL and Suzuki Bikes. I am glad to see him as the only shortlisted candidate from APAC for the DataIQ Awards this year.”
The Jury panel for this included names such as Andy Day (Chief Data Officer Sainsbury’s), Bary Green (CDO Bank of Ireland), Daniel Ray (Head of Data Science NHS) and Adam Williamson (Global Head of Customer Analytics- Jaguar Land Rover), amongst others.
