Dentsu Aegis Network launches Vizeum in Vietnam headed by Navin Dhanpal
Dentsu Aegis Network media agency brand Vizeum has launched an office in Vietnam marking its eighteenth office in the region.
The agency, which claims to be the fastest growing in the world according to RECMA data, is to be led locally by Navin Dhanpal with clients including Abbott, Manulife and Panasonic.
Dhanpal was executive planning director for Dentsu Media Vietnam, and moves into the role of executive director of Vizeum Vietnam.
Kristian Barnes, CEO of Vizeum APAC, said, “Vietnam’s ad spend continues to grow in the region and with the latest shift in consumer trends towards Media+ solutions, we see a strategic opportunity for Vizeum to capitalise on. The launch of the new office allows Vizeum to position itself strategically in the centre of a dynamic market that will allow us to show our potential.”
Dhanpal commented: “The people in Vietnam are living in a digital landscape and marketeers are looking for solutions that go beyond our original understanding of media. This is a big challenge for Vizeum Vietnam but an even bigger opportunity for us to support our key clients in the market by driving business growth and results.
Vizeum launched as a second agency alongside Carat when both brands were part of Aegis, pre-Dentsu acquisition, in 2003. Vizeum launched with the phrase ‘Connectology’, offering a new perspective on how brands connect with consumers through media. The positioning slogan is now ‘Connections that count’.
Vizeum Vietnam starts out with 18 staff.
