New Delhi: Major Hindi news channels emerged as the top bidders in round-1 of DD Freedish e-auction for Bucket C. The channels namely ABP News, News Nation, Zee News, Republic Bharat, and Times Now Navbharat picked up the first five slots on Wednesday.
Reportedly, ABP News bagged the bid for Rs 9.8 crore. Last year the channel claimed the slot for Rs 16.05 crore.
The Hindi News channel from Republic Media Network owned Republic Bharat claimed the slot in Bucket C for Rs 9.95 crore. In 2021, the channel had picked up the slot for Rs 21.15 crore.
Zee News which spent Rs 16 Crore last year, acquired the slot for Rs 10 crore. News Nation which won the bid for Rs 18.55 crore in 2021, reportedly shelled out Rs 10.05 crore for this year.
Recently launched Times Now Navbharat bagged the slot in Bucket C for Rs 9.95 Crore.
