The study examined overall actions (likes, shares, and comments) and actions per post across various platforms for an audience of millions of fans. The franchise took the top spot with 56 mn overall actions and 150K actions per post across platforms for an audience of 33 mn.
Closely behind Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore had a total actions of 53 mn and 161k actions per post across platforms, while catering to an audience sized at 26 mn.
While Chennai and Bangalore were in the top two on the list, Mumbai Indians came in third, with 49 mn actions, 86K engagements per post across platforms, and catering to an audience of the size of 32 mn.
The study also ranked the remaining IPL teams based on their fan engagement, with Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Supergiants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings ranked 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th respectively.
