Las Vegas: In a groundbreaking collaboration that showcases Sony’s commitment to IP expansion across its entertainment ecosystem, Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions have announced an anime adaptation of Sucker Punch Productions’ award-winning video game Ghost of Tsushima. The series will also incorporate elements of the game’s Legends cooperative multiplayer mode, inspired by Japanese folktales and mythology.
This ambitious anime project is set to bring the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends experience to life, featuring stunning samurai aesthetics and a captivating narrative. Aniplex, renowned for hits like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Sword Art Online, will helm production alongside animation studio KAMIKAZE DOUGA. The adaptation will be directed by Takanobu Mizuno, with Gen Urobuchi (NITRO PLUS) overseeing story composition. Sony Music will curate the soundtrack, enhancing the immersive storytelling with its iconic global artist roster.
