With the growing COVID-19 chaos, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be postponed to 2021. According to the latest reports, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that the 2020 Olympics will be postponed and held in 2021.
Media reports highlighted that IOC member Dick Pound announced that the 2020 Summer Olympics will be postponed to 2021 and the other details will be given out in the coming weeks.
“The parameters going forward have not been determined, but the Games are not going to start on July 24, that much I know… It will come in stages. We will postpone this and begin to deal with all the ramifications of moving this, which are immense,” said Pound.
On Sunday, Canada became the first country to withdraw from this summer’s Olympics and Paralympics.
