Colors Tamil today honoured Rachitha Bharathi and SivaSankari as part of its flagship initiative Mangayar Thiruvizha 2022, paying tribute to women for their unwavering service to society.
The event sponsored by Lalitha jewellery was held at SVK Velusamy, Chinammal Thirumana Mahal with ArangaNayagi, Inspector of Crime Branch as the chief guest, Dr. G. Priya Sakthi, MBBS, DGO, and Jessie Nishanthi, Health Coach as the special guests, gracing the occasion and felicitating the women.
Mangayir Thiruvizha 2022 seeks to recognise and honour women from all across Tamil Nadu who have contributed to their communities and made an effort to establish themselves in society. Rachitha Bharathi was bestowed with the achievement owing to her exemplar skills in Silambattam while Sivasankari was honoured since she broke all barriers to become the first auto driver in Theni.
The event commenced with a general health session by Dr. Priyasakthi advising women on various measures and lifestyle changes they could make for a healthy living. This was succeeded by a zumba session and an educational talk by Health Coach Jessie in creating positive changes in terms of both emotional and physical well-being; and how women can alleviate their feelings of distress and resolve crisis.
With a variety of entertainment programmes, including dance, singing, and henna art, among other things, the one-day festival highlighted the power of femininity. Colors Tamil artists Darshini Gowda, Sameer, Vishnu Vijay, and Rachitha Mahalakshmi engaged the audience with great performances during the gala event. In addition, women from all walks of life also showcased their talents on stage.
The event concluded with women achievers of Theni being recognized for their service to society with an award, winner announcements for the various activities that took place during the day and a crowd dance. Furthermore, the channel also announced the champions of the Rangoli competition that was introduced prior to the event as an immersive activity across the region and the first three winners were awarded a gold coin each.

This time we have introduced this to the people of Theni. We have always received great response for our shows in the region and with this Thiruvizha , we have sought to further increase our ways of engaging our audiences with a Kolam competition which stands staunch with our traditions. We are delighted to witness such a huge turnout and we hope to keep the momentum going forward as well.”
