National: Colors Kannada, a pioneer in introducing novel storylines with a focus on family values, is back with another captivating show, Nanna Devru.
The show “Nanna Devru” tells the story of Mayuri, a nurse at a charity hospital in Brahmadurga, mentored by the respected philanthropist Sacchidananda. Mayuri, inspired by Sacchidananda’s virtuous deeds, aspires to emulate his humanitarian work.
Sacchidananda, a 44-year-old widowed father, struggles with his rebellious daughter Sakshi, who lives far away in Bengaluru, working as a bartender, causing him deep heartache. Despite Sakshi’s distance and defiance, Sacchidananda hopes to rebuild their relationship one day through gaining her trust.
Mayuri, a 24-year-old orphan, raised by Sukumar, a cab driver, and Madhavi, a homemaker. Educated at Sacchidananda’s institutions, she works as a nurse in his hospital, deeply admiring his philanthropy. Fiercely loyal, she protects his reputation during challenges.
Nanna Devru portrays the intertwining lives of Mayuri and Sacchidananda post-encounter, where Mayuri steadfastly aids Sacchidananda against his scheming family, highlighting the village girl’s unwavering innocence and hurdles she conquers to protect him, delivering a heartwarming viewer experience.
Mayuri Kyathari, known for Ashwini Nakshatra, stars in Colors Kannada’s Nanna Devru alongside Avinash Divakar. Avinash, grandson of Narashimharaju, acts as Sacchidananda. The show features talented actors like Yukta Malnad, Swathi, V Manohar, and more. Shruthi Naidu produces the show, directed by Ramesh Indira, known for antagonistic roles.
