Mumbai : This October, COLORS INFINITY takes its viewers to a whole new horizon of Television experience, yet again! The newly launched English Entertainment Channel is all set to give television viewers their first-ever homegrown English language music TV show – The Stage.
This one-of-its-kind, exciting quest for India’s English music talent, premiering on October 10th, has roped in a power-packed combination of music maestros from eclectic genres; Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, Ehsaan Noorani, Mr. Devraj Sanyal, as the jury panel and Shibani Dandekar as the host for the show.
Within a mere span of two months, COLORS INFINITY has consistently surprised its viewers with back-to-back shows, Instant Premieres and a refreshing line-up. Now, with the path-breaking concept of The Stage, the channel has taken the first step in Indian television history to provide a platform to nurture English singing talent in India.
On the premiere of The Stage, Ferzad Palia, EVP, Viacom18 and Head, English Entertainment, says “Since the inception of COLORS INFINITY, we have aimed at nothing but disruptive content. After the new line-up and ‘Instant Premieres’, we now up the ante even further with the launch of our first home grown English language singing show, The Stage.”
He further added on the concept, “We are immensely proud to introduce this concept on Indian Television. There are numerous gifted English music artists in this country. Unfortunately they have never had the opportunity to showcase their talent, but now, with The Stage we are providing them with the platform where they can finally do that. ”
Produced by SOL, a stalwart in the field of non-fiction content, the show promises to give viewers a different take on the music scene in India.
Renault, our partners on board for the show, are equally excited about the scope of the show, Virat Khullar, Marketing Head Renault India, says, “As a company we at Renault stand for Innovation and Passion and The Stage is a fresh new concept in Indian Television which is bound to change the scope of entertainment in this country. This belief in the show is the foundation of our partnership with COLORS INFINITY. We are glad that we can be a part of this huge transformation of English entertainment in India.”
On the unique concept, our co-curator, Karan Johar says, “When I first heard about ‘The Stage’ I was amazed at the introduction of such a novel concept for Indian television. I can see a paradigm shift in the reality TV shows in India.”
Fellow co- curator Alia Bhatt, says, “English music is such an important part of our playlists but we don’t get to see it anywhere on our music platforms. So ‘The Stage’ is an idea whose time has come.”
Viewers will experience a new kind of entertainment, with The Stage on COLORS INFINITY.
