Mumbai: Cohesity has announced the appointment of Carol Carpenter as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Carpenter, with over 20 years of technology industry and marketing leadership experience, will oversee all aspects of the global marketing organization. Her appointment comes as Cohesity solidifies its #1 position in the data protection market following the successful integration of Veritas’ enterprise data protection business.

Carpenter joins Cohesity from Unity, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to her role at Unity, she was CMO at VMware and played a key role in transforming Google Cloud into a market leader as Global Vice President of Marketing. Her extensive background also includes leadership roles at ElasticBox (acquired by CenturyLink), Trend Micro, Keynote Systems, and Apple.
