The report highlights Average Ad volumes/day witnessed growth in all genres except music during Sep’20* compared to Aug’20. In Sep’20*, Kids genre had highest growth among all genres that is 9% followed by News genre with 6% rise in Ad Volumes/Day compared to Aug’20.

The report highlights Hindi and Tamil channels were Top 2 among all GEC genres during Aug-Sep’20*. Apart from week 36, Ad Volumes on GEC genres grew almost steadily from week 32 to week 39.

The Top 5 categories and advertisers together added 28% and 51% share of Ad Volumes respectively in Aug-Sep’20*. HUL & Reckitt were the Top 2 advertisers in Aug-Sep’20* with 31% & 10% share of Ad Volumes within GEC genre.
GEC Genre: New^ Categories and Advertisers on TV: Aug-Sep’20* compared to Jun-Jul’20
With a total of 45+ new Categories & 525+ new Advertisers emerged in Aug-Sep’20* compared to Jun-Jul’20. Sugar Confectionaries and Vodafone Idea were top new category and advertiser during Aug-Sep’20*.
GEC Genre: Top Growing^ Categories & Advertisers: Aug-Sep’20* compared to Jun-Jul’20
With out of Top 5 growing categories, highest growth of 3.7 times was observed in Namkin category. While among the Top 5 growing advertisers, Coca Cola India saw highest surge in Ad Volumes during Aug-Sep’20* compared to Jun-Jul’20.
Exclusive Categories and Advertisers to GECs: Aug-Sep’20*
With a total 7+ exclusive categories and 270+ exclusive advertisers were seen in GEC genre compared to all other genres. Nail Enamels and Perfetti Van Melle were top exclusive category and advertiser in GEC genre during Aug-Sep’20*.
