New Delhi : Cinépolis is all set to host Russian film festival for the first time ever in India at its Cinépolis Andheri property in Mumbai starting from 16th to 18th November, 2016.
For the three day festival, Cinépolis has exclusively tied up with Russian Embassy to offer an opportunity to its patrons to watch a series of movies from contemporary action flicks to comedy and mystical thrillers.
To take the audiences on an exciting journey through one of the World’s most diverse and exciting film cultures, the cinema chain will feature the screening of best Russian movies such as The Crew, Queen of Spades, The Women, Good Boy, Versus, Friday and Icebreaker. Cinépolis will organize the festival every year going forward.
The film festival will also be graced by the likes of Russian theatre and cinema actors Katerina Shpitsa, Elena Zakharova, Ieva Andrejevaite, Olga Filimonova, Aleksandr Pal, Aleksey Chadov, Sergey Chirkov, and producers Vasily Solovyov, Igor Tolstunov and few other filmmakers as well.

The festival will open with the screening of ‘The Crew’ and ‘Queen of Spades’ on 16th November at 5:30 and 8:00 PM, and will culminate with the screening of ‘Friday’ and ‘Icebreaker’ on 18th November at the same time. On 17th November, Cinépolis will also showcase other masterpieces such as The Woman, Good Boy and Versus at 3:00 PM, 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM respectively.
The entry for the Russian film festival will be free for the cinephiles on first come first serve basis. Cinépolis is also providing free passes to 15 Cinépolis Club members to attend the movie screenings.
