Delhi: Renowned Cartoonist Sudhir Dhar passed away today morning after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 87.

He joined ‘The Pioneer’, then edited by the legendary Vinod Mehta, and finally in 2000 called it a day to work independently as a freelancer.
He leaves behind his wife Rummy and 2 daughters Nishika and Avantika. The funeral will be today at Lodhi Electric Crematorium at 5PM today.
His originals are in possession of the Queen of England, Richard Atten borough, Yehudi Menuhin and many other world celebrities. Among other assignments, he has illustrated diaries for the Ministries of Tourism, External Affairs, Jammu & Kashmir and drawn calendars for the World Bank for 20 years.
