In one of India’s largest ever school outreach programmes, Cartoon Network and POGO will engage more than 1 million children from approximately 1,100 schools across 13 cities. The rollout of the 15th edition of this programme begins this week.
This year’s themes are ‘Be You’ that brings alive Cartoon Network’s new brand promise ‘Redraw Your World’ and POGO’s ‘Friendship Aur Fun’ that celebrates camaraderie and offers a power-packed and fun-filled experience.
The multi-city rollout will make return to offline school for students even more memorable by getting an opportunity to be closer to their animated friends! In each school, the channels will host a 45-minute session, with a slew of engaging activities including fun and interactive games, an AV resonating with the theme of each school contact programme (SCP), a visit by mascots in some schools, sponsor led activities, and plenty of POGO and Cartoon Network goodie bags as giveaways.
Uttam Pal Singh, Head of Kids Cluster, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery said, “We are going back to schools pan India with a bigger and better than ever edition of our School Contact Programme. The annual school engagement initiative is an essential part of our fan-first strategy, giving the kids an opportunity to be closer to their animated friends. We are always looking at connecting with our audience in a unique way and this year’s themes of both channels promise a whole new level of fun, thrill and adventure.”
Cartoon Network’s powerful ‘Be You’ themed programme will encourage and excite kids to embrace their individuality and unique skills along with new and engaging storylines and shows like ‘Ben 10’, Japanese anime show with action-packed adventures of Goku and his friends ‘Dragon Ball Super’, Teen Titans Go!, ‘The Tom and Jerry Show’, and the gooey master of disguise ‘Lamput’.
POGO’s popular characters Bheem and Chutki from ‘Chhota Bheem’, Titoo from the 2D animated comedy ‘Titoo – Har Jawab Ka Sawal Hoon’, homegrown superhero Ekans from ‘Ekans – Snakes Awake!’ and the fun-loving prankster Simmba from ‘Smashing Simmba’ will celebrate the joy and valuable bonds under the theme ‘Friendship Aur Fun’.
Over the next few weeks, the SCP will be held in Mumbai, New Delhi (Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad), Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Surat.
