Singapore :The APAC Effie awards announced its call for entry for the 2019 edition today.
The competition, which is organised annually, awards the best-in-class works in marketing effectiveness within the Asia Pacific region. It recognises all forms of marketing communications that contribute to a brand’s success. Winning an Effie award is a global symbol of marketing effectiveness excellence, and winners of the Effie competitions around the world are ranked on a global Effie Index. The Effie Index calculates the cumulative scores of each Effie wins and finalists, and ranks the most effective agencies, brands and marketers.
For the past six years, APAC Effie has upheld Effie’s mission of leading, inspiring and championing the practice and practitioners of marketing effectiveness in the region. The awards will continue to be helmed by Charles Cadell, President of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific, and President/CEO of McCann Worldgroup Japan for the 2nd year.
The APAC Effie Awards will featurea number of category changes to reflect the evolving APAC marketing landscape.
An Influencer category has been added this year in recognition of campaigns that employed the use of key targets who influence its potential audience.

Data-Driven – Data and Technology and Programmatic have been merged.
Media Content Partnership – redefined Media Partnership Activation
Sponsorship/Events and Engaged Community – redefined to include engaged community.

Entry Deadlines for the APAC Effie Awards will run between 30 November 2018 and 7 January 2019 and all marketing communication efforts that have run in Asia Pacific during the qualifying period may enter.Winners of the APAC Effie Awards will be celebrated at the Awards Gala in April 2019.
