Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expanded his Union Cabinet adding 36 new faces and promoting seven existing ministers.
Anurag Thakur, who has been the Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, has been named the Information and Broadcasting Minister. Thakur has also been given the charge of the Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry.
After a gap of two years, Tamil Nadu secured a position in Narendra Modi’s cabinet, with BJP State President L Murugan being named the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting. Murugan is also in charge of the Ministry of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy.
