Bomanbridge Media has licensed a number of titles to broadcasters in South Korea, including the animated kids’ series Oddbods.
Oddbods, which comes from Singapore’s One Animation, is headed to South Korea’s EBS. The animated sketch show follows the adventures of seven characters with different personalities as they go through seemingly ordinary situations, often with unexpected consequences.
Factual sales include Atlantic: Fire in the Ocean getting snapped up by KBS and The Wonder of Dogs being licensed by JEI TV. The former is a documentary that explores the mid-Atlantic Ridge volcanic mountains, while the latter celebrates various types of canines. JEI TV also went for Pure Design, which sees designer Samantha Pynn transform everyday rooms into sustainable living spaces.
Sonia Fleck, the CEO of Bomanbridge Media, commented: “International content sales into Korea has greatly reduced over the last few years due to the phenomenal popularity of local Korean content. Despite that, Bomanbridge has maintained a successful stream of sales in Korea due to our curated market relevant approach. Currently we are really pleased to be able to place some of our best documentaries; kids’ and lifestyle series with KBS, JEI TV and EBS. There is always a place for premium programming, and at Bomanbridge, we have a rich catalog to offer.”
