Trivandrum: In line with the BARC ratings for the week 26 of the Malayalam GEC, Asianet remains the leader of the market with Flowers TV and Mazhavil Manorama at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. The channels ranking remains unchanged this week.
The BARC has unveiled the ratings of the newly launched, one of its kind reality show, Bigg Boss – Malayalam, on the market leader Star India owned Malayalam GEC Asianet hosted by Malayalam superstar Mohan Lal. After its massive success across Hindi, Kannada, Bangla, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil markets the reality show has stepped into the Kerala market on 24 June 2018. The launch of the Malayalam version of Bigg Boss also marks the production house Endemol Shine India’s 7th Language and 25th season in totality for the big brother franchise in the country.
Bigg Boss – Malayalam opened with an average of 10.33 TVR on its launch episode.The opening week average of the show happens to be 8.5 TVR. The show has garnered 9.50 TVR on day 1 and 9.35 TVR on day 2, the rating dropped to 7.05 TVR on day 3, while on day 4 and 5 the ratings recorded an average of 8.01 TVR and 8.30 TVR respectively.
This being the opening number of the reality show, the coming weeks will give us a more clear picture of the performance of the show.
