As per BARC Ratings of week 25 for the period from 20th June to 26th June, SAB TV posted a massive gain of 49 million, the top Hindi GECs Star Plus maintained its gaining momentum with addition of 21 million in week 25. This week happened to be a fortunate week for all top rated Hindi GECs except Colors.
According to BARC Ratings of week 25, HSM NCCS All India Individual data C&S 1 lakh+ markets, Market topper Star Plus saw its ratings rise further from previous week as it increased to 406 million in week 25 against 385 million in week 24. Star Plus posted a gain of 21 million in this week.
Colors in no.2 position didn’t see any major gain, while it witnessed a marginal drop in ratings to 340 million in week 25 against 342 million in week 24.
Zee TV at no. 3 witnessed a decent surge in ratings to 254 million in week 25 from 242 million in week 24, which is a gain of 12 million week over week.
Life OK at no.4 position also witnessed a decent increase in ratings this week to 245 million from 234 million in week 24.
At no. 5, Sab TV happened to be the major gainer that saw its ratings increase massively to 236 million in week 25 against 187 million in week 24.
The BARC Ratings of week 25 shows that the difference between no. 3, 4 and 5 has shrunk massively.
News Channel Ratings:
According BARC Ratings of week 25 for English News Channels (All India, NCCS AB, Male 22+ Individuals, C&S 1L+), Times Now lost around 219 TVT in week 25.
The English News segment leader Times Now witnessed a reverse trend in week 25 that saw a massive loss in viewership to the tune of 219 TVTs and posted a gross rating of 445 TVTs in week 25 against 664 TVTs in week 24. India Today TV stood at second spot with a continuing gaining momentum with addition of 76 TVTs and delivered 315 TVTs in week 25 against 239 TVTs in week 24, followed by NDTV 24×7 regaining its no. 3 spot with 185 TVTs in week 25, pushing CNN IBN to no.4 spot.
Among Hindi news genre (HSM, NCCS All Individuals, C&S 1L+) the top three contenders witnessed a close gaps with very little differences in rating TVT. Aaj Tak retained the top slot with 31566 TVTs in week 25 against 31491 TVTs in week 24, India TV at No. 2 with 26042 TVTs in week 25 against 27,603 TVTs in week 24. ABP News at no. 3 marginally increased to 25474 in week 25 from 25186 TVTs in week 24.
In English Business News channels genre (All India, NCCS AB, Male 22+ Individuals, C&S 1L+), CNBC TV18 dropped to 165 TVTs in week 25 against 186 TVTs in week 24, followed by ET Now with 130 TVTs in week 25 against 154 TVTs in week 24 and NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime scored 59 TVTs in week 25 against 29 TVTs in week 24.
In Hindi Business News genre (6 mega cities, NCCS AB, Male 22+ Individuals, C&S 1L+), CNBC Awaaz dropped to 700 TVTs in week 25 against 924 TVTs in week 24, followed a distant no. 2 Zee Business that dropped to 259 TVTs in week 25 against 573 TVTs in week 24.
