Mumbai: Barbie marks its 65th anniversary with the launch of the inspiring ‘You Can Be Anything’ campaign in India! Leading the charge is Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team, joined by five bright young Barbie fans. These kids were handpicked during the company’s nationwide Barbie You Can Be Anything Tour, held exclusively at Hamleys.
Harmanpreet Kaur is now part of Barbie’s global Role Models community, standing alongside women like Ibtihaj Muhammad, Misty Copeland, and Hollywood director Ava DuVernay.
On Instagram Kaur wrote, “Thrilled to join @Barbie in their groundbreaking ‘You Can Be Anything’ campaign in India!
“Growing up in Moga, my sister’s journey from playing with her favorite Barbie teacher doll to becoming a real-life educator showed me the power of tangible role models. Barbie inspires not just dreams but real possibilities—from leadership and science to creativity and innovation.
“Joining this incredible community of Barbie role models is a commitment to empower and inspire every girl to see beyond traditional boundaries and strive for their limitless potential. Like the support I received growing up, I want to ensure every young kid feels empowered to pursue their passions without boundaries, embracing the infinite possibilities ahead. Together, let’s inspire and empower.”
