Mumbai: Bank of Baroda has signed Indian tennis player Sumit Nagal as its brand endorser. This aligns with the bank’s philosophy to support emerging Indian athletes competing at the global level.
Sumit Nagal, aged 26, will strategically target a younger demographic and introduce products tailored for this new generation as positioned by the Bank.
Sumit, the highest-ranked Indian singles tennis player, reached a career-high world ranking of No. 71 on 17th June 2024 and earned a spot in the Indian Olympic team for Paris. In January 2024, he made history by being the first Indian in 35 years to beat a seeded player in a Grand Slam men’s singles match at the Australian Open.
Sumit joins Bank of Baroda’s impressive brand ambassadors alongside PV Sindhu and Shafali Verma.

Born in 1997, Sumit excelled in tennis early, winning Wimbledon in 2015. Recently, he made history by reaching the Australian Open and winning ATP Challenger titles in Europe. In 2024, he became the first Indian in 49 years to qualify for the Monte Carlo Masters and secured a Masters 1000 victory on clay by defeating Matteo Arnaldi.
