Bain & Company, a management consulting firm, has announced today the appointment of Parijat Ghosh as the Managing Partner in India effective April 1, 2023. In his new role, Ghosh will be responsible for driving the firm’s continued growth in the market, building client relationships, leading the next generation of Bain leaders, and pursuing the firm’s mission of achieving full potential for our clients.

With over 20 years of extensive experience in management consulting throughout India, the United States, and Europe, Ghosh has been leading the Results Delivery® practice for Asia Pacific, as well as Bain’s Healthcare practice in India. He holds deep expertise in growth strategy, sales and marketing, innovation, organization design, executive development, and strategy implementation. Additionally, he has substantial industry experience in the automotive and building products sectors.

Ghosh joined Bain in 2012 and besides steering the Healthcare practice, he also served as the head and vice president of human resources at Bain India. Prior to joining Bain, Ghosh worked with other global consulting firms. He earned an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and holds a graduate degree in B. Tech (Honors) in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute Technology, Kharagpur.
Ghosh will succeed Karan Singh, who after about eight years of leading Bain India, has been appointed as Chairman of Bain India, effective April 1, 2023. Under Singh’s leadership, Bain India has grown at an over 20% CAGR over the last eight years with a focus on transformation for marquee clients. Bain India has created a strong employee culture and has also scaled its leadership team by 4x over the last 8 years. As Chairman, Karan will continue to lead major client relationships, deepen the brand, and be the ambassador for Bain in India.
